What goals does JOST want to achieve?

  • JOST aims to reduce CO2 emissions from Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 50 % per production hour by 2030 and help its customers in their quest for carbon neutrality.
  • JOST involves its customers in the innovation processes at an early stage and addresses their needs in product development.
  • JOST strives to minimise the consumption of resources during its production activities and consistently use resources efficiently and effectively.
  • JOST takes responsibility for its supply chain and will integrate a uniform process for evaluating its suppliers.
  • JOST aims to create a working environment where employees feel comfortable and can perform at their best.
  • JOST has set a goal to continuously reduce the number of workplace accidents.

Sustainable Products

  • Weight-optimised products such as aluminum landing legs, lightweight fifth wheels or the new DCA WEIGHTMASTER PLUS trailer axle: lighter products ensure lower emissions and higher transport capacities.
  • TRIDEC steering systems reduce tire wear and fuel consumption.
  • Biodegradable high-performance lubricant ensures less contamination from grease.
  • Assistance systems (KKS, Drawbar Finder, King Pin Finder) bring additional occupational safety, comfort and health protection for users.

What have we achieved so far?

  • The share of renewable energy in total electricity consumption increased several times to 15.6 million kWh compared to the previous year (2021: 3.1 million kWh).
  • We were able to reduce our CO2 emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) per production hour by 15.0 % compared to 2021 and by 35.2 % compared to the base year 2020.
  • New solar installations on the roofs of two manufacturing sites are already producing solar energy, and the construction of additional solar installations is in the planning stage.
  • We reduced the number of occupational accidents per 200,000 production hours by 8.8 % to 3.39 (2021: 3.72).
  • We reduced our employee turnover ratio by 3.4 percentage points year-on-year to 15.4 %.
  • JOST adopted the Human Rights Policy in 2022, which now officially enshrines our already practiced corporate culture of respect and consideration for all people in our company and in our business relationships.
